Steven A. McKean

Founder, Chairman and CEO

Steve is the driving visionary behind the company’s unique comparison shopping and information platform for selling digital lifestyle services to consumers.  Under Steve's leadership, the company has grown to 70 employees, secured digital service partnerships with the top broadband providers and is recognized as an Inc. 500 company.

Prior to founding Acceller, Steve was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of MEDWerks.com, an Application Service Provider (ASP) for medical claims adjudication and payment.  In this role, Steve developed a business plan and financial model which secured $10 million in venture funding. He also served the key role of establishing key strategic business and technology partnerships with IBM and Arthur Andersen.

A Miami native, Steve serves as a director at the Miami Children's Hospital, the University of Miami Citizen’s Board, the Young President's Organization (YPO), the Zell Lurie Entrepreneurial Institute Advisory Board.

Steve holds a BBA and MAcc in Accounting from the University of Michigan and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Michigan.

Dan Leichtenschlag

President

Dan is responsible for strategic planning, overseeing daily operations, articulating the company's business and product strategy, and for developing tactical plans to address the marketplace.

Prior to Acceller, Dan was President of Operations and Chief Technology Officer for CBS SportsLine.com, the sports information website for CBS Sports, Chief Technology Officer for eDiets.com, an online community and portal for promoting diet plans and weight-loss programs to consumers, and held various management positions in his successful 12-year tenure at General Electric Information Services (GEIS).

Dan has a B.S. in Computer Science from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.

Brian Thomas

Chief Revenue Officer

Brian oversees business development, sales operations, service provider and sales distribution relationships. Focused on identifying, negotiating and expanding relationships that will foster sales growth through effective business planning, capitalizing on emerging opportunities, and comprehensive marketing and communication contact strategies.

Previously, Brian held positions as Business Development Principal and Partner Development Manager at Qwest Communications, and Project Director at Marshall Erdman and Associates, the leading national developer of healthcare facilities, where he managed sales and marketing strategies for the Western Region.

Brian holds a BA in Communications from St. Norbert College and an MBA in Operations Management from Regis University. 

 

Miguel Parra

Chief Technology Officer

Miguel is responsible for developing and managing the high-availability transaction capabilities for DigitalLanding.com, an online comparison shopping portal for consumer broadband services.

Previously, Miguel held the position of Senior Database Analyst at UPS. Here, he architected, maintained and optimized high-performance customer platforms, at the same time he participated in defining testing and daily operation of systems running business around Latin America. Prior to UPS, Miguel was IT Manager at Global FX, a currency exchange company operating in all countries around Latin and North America. There, Miguel was responsible for the initiative to migrate all existing software technologies to .NET platform and established development teams overseas.

Miguel holds a BS in Computer Science from Escuela Colombiana De Ingenieria and a MS in Telecommunications and Networking from Florida International University.

 

Joe Suarez

Chief Finance Officer

Joe leads Acceller’s finance, accounting, human resources and legal teams. He is focused on driving long-term value through his work on strategic finance, corporate finance, capital budgeting and financing decisions.  He is also responsible for extending and enhancing Acceller’s award winning corporate culture through his management of the Human Resources and Legal divisions.

Prior to Acceller, Joe was a Senior Vice President at MasterCard International (Latin America and Caribbean region). He also worked at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Royal Caribbean Cruises and PriceWaterHouseCoopers. He has held positions in Financial Planning and Analysis, Controllership, Supply Chain, Business Process Improvement, Internal Audit, and Big Four public accounting. 

Joe is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida, with an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and a BBA from Florida International University. He is a longtime classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of Greater Miami and he also serves on their Board of Directors.

Andrew Monahan

Senior Vice President, Consumer Marketing

Andy has significantly grown direct sales through execution of a sophisticated, multi-touch marketing program for DigitalLanding.com and related properties, Acceller’s digital information and comparison shopping portals for consumers.  Andy also oversees the partner programs in support of customer acquisition.

Previously, Andy held key business growth positions at America Online (AOL) as the Director of Acquisition and Senior Manager of Online Promotion. Prior to AOL, Andy was Senior Business Analyst in the Small Business Card division at Capital One Services, and Business Development Analyst for Intellectual Property Operations at Xerox Corporation. 

Andy holds an MBA in Finance and Corporate Accounting from the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration at University of Rochester, and a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of Michigan. 

Tim Gwin

Vice President, Client Services

Tim manages Acceller’s Client Services & Business Development divisions. He is responsible for developing new channel and supplier relationships, extending Acceller’s reach in existing and new markets.

Prior to joining Acceller, Tim served as the Director of Emerging Markets and Group Manager at Qwest Communications and CenturyLink in Denver, Colorado. With Qwest, Tim managed a team of New Business Development Managers and Channel Sales Managers responsible for the account management process, from initial customer contact through contract management and service implementation.  Before Qwest, Gwin worked as a Director of Sales & Marketing with Ricochet Networks and the EF Johnson Co., two wireless communications companies.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Colorado State University.

Suzanne C. Ferguson

Vice President, Legal Affairs

Suzanne is in-house counsel for Acceller, providing legal advice on a variety of matters, and managing the company’s legal affairs.

Prior to joining Acceller, Suzanne was a senior attorney with Qwest Communications Company, where she supported the Alternative Markets Channel, as well as other operational and strategic business units. Suzanne also served on the Qwest Legal Department’s Pro Bono Committee and Ethics Committee, developing a range of training programs and volunteer efforts.  In 2010, she was nominated for Task Force of the Year by the Colorado Lawyers Committee for her work in engaging pro bono legal services for small nonprofit organizations, both in Qwest and throughout the Denver Metro area. She lives in Colorado, where she continues to volunteer with the Colorado Lawyers Committee Nonprofit Task Force, as well as serving on the board of directors of Asian Hope.

Suzanne received her Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2000 and, more recently, an MBA in International Studies from the University of Denver.

Jim Leichtenschlag

Vice President, Sales Operations

Jim is responsible for setting the goals, managing and coordinating resources, and providing technical leadership for the advancement of Digital Landing, Acceller’s digital information and comparison shopping portal for consumers.

Prior to joining Acceller, Jim successfully held strategic business and technology management positions at Fujitsu Consulting for telecommunications client, Verizon. As Engagement Director, Jim oversaw project financials, resourcing, deliverables and quality for Verizon Broadband Order Management and FTTP Project Management Office.  He previously spent 13 years at General Electric in various management and lead positions contributing to GE solutions in the business areas of telecommunications, global banking, online services and supply chain logistics.

Jim holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. 

Benjamin Vides

Vice President, Product Management

Ben is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and product strategies for Acceller and Acceller's digital.Commerce platform, the company’s innovative solution for connecting consumers with digital services for their home.

Previously, Ben was Vice President of Product Development and Technology at Autoscribe Corporation, a provider of multi-channel payment software solution. Ben was a key figure in developing product strategy for Autoscribe's paymentvision.com hosted payment service. Ben also has extensive experience building enterprise products and organizations at several startup firms as well as leading multi-nationals, including AOL and Goldman Sachs.

Ben holds a BA in Economics and a BS in Decision and Information Science from the University of Maryland in College Park, MD.

Brian Keaney

Vice President, Contact Center Sales & Operations

Brian is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of Acceller’s Contact Centers. Overseeing all aspects of assisted sales and operations, Brian manages programs that include: Inbound, Outbound, Care, Retouch, and IVR elements. Mr. Keaney brings almost 20 years of industry experience to Acceller.

Previous to Acceller, Brian held strategic positions at GetConnected Inc. (GCi), an e-Commerce information technology and services firm. As Director of Engagement Management he helped to establish the Professional Services division, developed industry-specific project management methodologies and directed the Engagement Management team in the delivery of software solutions to telecommunications clients. Brian also spent 10 years at XO Communications in various data networking technical leadership roles.

Brian holds an MBA with a concentration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix (Boston campus) and a BS in Business with a concentration in Finance from Westfield State College.

Frank Billerio

Vice President, Business and Technical Operations

Frank is a technology veteran who oversees several functions for Acceller.  He leads Partner Support, the team that builds and operates our channel partner sites as well as Technical Operations, the team who keeps our services running 24x7.  He also leads Release Management, Customer Support, and our Program Management Office. 

Prior to joining Acceller, Frank held technical leadership positions for many years at GE and IBM.  He was Director of Operations at SportsLine.com, responsible for massive scaling of the Company’s systems which included NFL.com, MLB.com, PGATour.com and other major sites in addition to SportsLine’s own properties.

Frank holds a BS in Mathematics from SUNY Fredonia and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

Trista Borrego

Vice President, Provider Management

Trista oversees account management, internal communications and data analytics for all provider relationships.  Her primary focus is managing providers at an executive level, identifying opportunities and developing programs to drive the divisions key performance indicators (KPI’s) including unit sales; revenue growth; products per sale; improved activation rates; reduced payment cycle times and growing contribution margin.  

Previously, Trista was a Channel Sales Manager and Channel Support Team Manager at Qwest Communications, Finance Manager at GO Chevrolet and Store Manager for Merry Go Round Corporation.
