New COO Brings World-Class Operational Expertise to Comparison Shopping Platform

An experienced and accomplished executive, Leichtenschlag is charged with articulating Acceller's business and product strategy and for developing tactical plans to address mergers and acquisitions, software development, technology operations and information technology.
Leichtenschlag has over 25 years experience in product strategy and operations. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Leichtenschlag will help ensure that the consumer, the reseller and the service provider have access to or can offer the best and most advanced digital lifestyle services through Acceller, including high-speed Internet, video, Voice over IP, and bundles through Acceller.

Biography: Dan Leichtenschlag
Prior to joining Acceller, Leichtenschlag was the chief technology officer at eDiets.com, leading development and technology in the re-architecting of several major systems. Before eDiets, he was president of operations and chief technology officer for SportsLine.com where he helped shape operations and grow the company from 13 to over 600 employees. Leichtenschlag led technology teams that developed highly redundant systems and communications to handle extremely large web traffic spikes. In addition, he was responsible for content, production, and operations for SportsLine's family of sites as well as partner sites including NFL.com, MLB.com, PGATour.com, Netscape, and Excite. Leichtenschlag also participated in numerous merger and acquisition activities. Previously, he held various management positions at General Electric Information Services (GEIS). Most notably, he led the technology team that developed GEnie, GE's online service that became the second largest in the industry in the late 1980's. Leichtenschlag holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
